ANNOUNCEMENT

Hello time deviants! Here at the Ministry we'd like to help as many of you as possible, and that leads us to my announcement: underage time deviants will no longer need to look for work or pay for their residences. As they should be under someone's care, they are going to be under the care of the Ministry.

This is not to say that you will be allowed free reign over wizarding Britain, of course: the Ministry and Hogwarts are coordinating to put together a program that will allow all time deviants of schooling age to attend Hogwarts until graduation or they can be sent to their proper time, whichever comes first. It won't do for students to fall behind in their studies, after all.

All school supplies will be Ministry-provided at no cost to the students. All registered time deviants between the ages of 11 and 16 are expected to report to the Ministry by Friday. All students will be returning to Hogwarts over the week-end to allow themselves time to acclimate back into the dormitories.

We hope it will give you all a sense of home and familiarity in this frightening and uprooting time. A reminder: please register! We can't help you if you don't come in and tell us that you're here.

— Regulus Black.

I've always said there's no escaping the past, but this isn't exactly what I meant.

Were I a younger man, I think I might have tried to make a life here. As it stands now I just want to get home.

I've a question, however: is the registry being used to perhaps reunite those that may not find each other otherwise or is it simply a tracking mechanism? I personally don't need that sort of service but with the state of things it seems important to allow people familiarity.

If you were, or are, the type of student who didn't hand their homework in on time, then you are the worst sort of person.

On another note, what would you consider an apt punishment for a terrible crime?

Portraits don't quite do people justice, no matter how lifelike they become through magic. But they are fascinating to study, nonetheless.

[ He is 100% sure that he will not grow up a balding old man with long white beard, and he will die on that damn hill. ]

An inquiry for those who use this form of communication: how many of you studied in Hogwarts? I would enjoy reading your experiences, should you wish to share them.

[ but really — tell him everything. ]

I have a number of inquiries if anyone would be willing to humor me. Some are for any Ministry officials reading, others are for anyone.

Will accommodations be made for those of us that cannot legally Apparate yet? What I am asking is this: if one is too young to Apparate and lives in the village set aside for "time deviants," will the community be connected well enough to the floo network that they will be able to get to work in London or will they be restricted to finding work in Hogsmeade for proximity? I am not sure just how close an eye the Ministry intends to keep on us.

What if we already have the Trace on us from another country?

Now for some general questions.

Who is hiring, may I ask? My skill set is wide-spread and I am not very squeamish.

Fellow "time deviants" : how many of you have settled into this provided (as it were) housing? How many of you still need accompaniment or assistance in paying?

When are you from? Where are you from? How do you feel about this place? Tell me these things.

Thank you very much for your time.

[The writing appears hurriedly, like someone's in too much of a rush -- or too angry -- to care precisely about making it look neat and legible.]

Oi, who's read the rot that showed up in the Prophet today? It's a load of shite is what it is, added to even more shite. Something should be done about it; if enough people make a fuss they'll have to at least listen.
