I've always said there's no escaping the past, but this isn't exactly what I meant.

Were I a younger man, I think I might have tried to make a life here. As it stands now I just want to get home.

I've a question, however: is the registry being used to perhaps reunite those that may not find each other otherwise or is it simply a tracking mechanism? I personally don't need that sort of service but with the state of things it seems important to allow people familiarity.

War's been over since 1998, everyone left's got kids, Hermione Granger is Minister for Magic, Harry Potter is head of magical law enforcement, the Dark Lord Voldemort Riddle's been dead for years, I can go on for ages if you'd like.

I'd care about mucking up timelines if we weren't already stuck in this horrible one.

[Suddenly the rest of their conversation doesn't make sense. Why would Draco, of all people, not want to register? He did join the Death Eaters after all. He did kill Dumbledore.]
