Portraits don't quite do people justice, no matter how lifelike they become through magic. But they are fascinating to study, nonetheless.

An inquiry for those who use this form of communication: how many of you studied in Hogwarts? I would enjoy reading your experiences, should you wish to share them.

And would you wager that you are talented at both?

Gryffindor, home of the brave. Daring, nerve, and chivalry. Some of attribute it to recklessness. [ And with one-third of a chance that he is speaking to a muggleborn. Lovely. ]

[ Technically speaking, he's not muggleborn. Muggle raised, though, so he might as well be. ]

I'm good at art, and I got good marks on my OWLs in school. The exact spells used to make the portraits move are tricky though. I'm still learning those.

That's what some people say. Why, what house were you in?

I did not graduate from Hogwarts, unfortunately, though I've heard of the school's reputation. Being in Britain, I suppose curiosity piqued me. There are many students and alumni from that school, here.

I wonder if the same can be said for the time deviants like ourselves.
