Portraits don't quite do people justice, no matter how lifelike they become through magic. But they are fascinating to study, nonetheless.

Than my family? Almost definitely.
It made family gatherings awkward for a while, though.

Mostly Gryffindor, yes. They came around, of course. They're not unreasonable people, and no matter what the Sorting Hat sees in you, one's school house doesn't determine one's future.
