Oi, who's read the rot that showed up in the Prophet today? It's a load of shite is what it is, added to even more shite. Something should be done about it; if enough people make a fuss they'll have to at least listen.

Like a protest? Would that even work?

PM to snuffles

If you do set up a protest, might I suggest all of the nearest floo access points into and out of the Ministry? Not that traffic jams are the highlight of my day but it would give me something exciting to work on.

You'll have to be more specific, mate. There was a lot of garbage in the Prophet.

If you're going to inflict us with your whinging, at least have the courtesy to clarify what you're whinging about because from what I've read, I don't see how any of it is "shite".

One wonders what you have against sensible precautions.

Perhaps you'd care to enlighten us as to the problem? It all looks on the up and up from here.

Things are what they must be, after all.

I see from your other responses you mean the Trace. If I were out of place and out of time, I would like to know that someone was keeping track of things. Including myself.

What would you suggest in its stead?

You of course have much better ideas than our dear Minister does to take precautions. It's not as if witches and wizards are disappearing, never to be seen again at the same time as these deviants are appearing.
No, why be concerned about that?

No, I do not. I see it as a necessary course of action to keep the community safe.

It is perfectly within reason to keep track of people who have inexplicably materialised out of thin air. You would either be naive or a fool to dismiss the possibility that they could be a potential threat to others or even to themselves. If you are so against the Minister's decision, are you to say you will be the one to take full responsibility for any who commits a crime or comes into harm when the incident could have been averted by something as unobtrusive as the Trace?

These precautions have been put in place for a reason, you realise? Who knows what kind of people these time displaced ones are. I would much rather keep our people safe than put them in danger due to negligence.

Not everyone appearing is good and kind.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, good and kind people are disappearing.

I would rather not, personally.

I suppose, though I doubt it will do much more than cause people to be rather cross.

PM
I am known for my brilliant plans, now and again. Let me know when you'd like to cause a scene and I'll see what I can do on my end. Anonymously, of course.

That the trace is put on anyone over the age of sixteen is an outrage. That they do it under the guise of "protection" is the most suspect.
