PUBLIC POST | un: mfm

Good morning to each and every single one of you!

I have a brief announcement to make. A potluck will be hosted in Braelyne Village, near Hogsmeade Village, all day today for the displaced and any who may need temporary shelter from the rain. Clothes and other amenities will be provided as well. Everyone is welcome to join in on the festivities and/or volunteer to help.

You will be able to find the potluck located at The Loop.

As a reminder to our fellow time deviants, please remember to register at the Ministry of Magic as soon as possible and welcome to our era! I look forward to meeting all of you.

Minister for Magic,
Tom Marvolo Riddle

PRIVATED INDIVIDUALLY TO | albus dumbledore, gellert grindelwald, and salazar slytherin

You are cordially invited to have brunch at Riddle Manor with the Minister of Magic at your earliest convenience.

Please kindly respond in a timely fashion for scheduling purposes. Thank you.

[ ooc; since the minister is a busy man, he won't be responding to any comments made on his public post (unless it seriously catches his attention), but feel free to have your characters react to it and thread jack away! don't hesitate to start up an open log at braelyne village for the potluck at [community profile] riddlelog too if you want it. he will be responding to the three who've received a generic, automated message from him though. ]

Is there anything more comforting than spending a rainy afternoon sipping tea and reading a good book? I've discovered some fascinating novels. There aren't enough hours in the day to read as much as I'd like. I'm curious if anyone shares my problem. So many words to read, especially when you're making up for lost time.

Several things, if you please:
1. Reading suggestions for advancements in healing magic in the last several centuries.
2. Really, I'm curious about general developments in formal magic. I don't use a wand, but I find them interesting.
3. Has it ever been recorded that someone else can physically interact with magic? See it, I mean, smell it, hear it, that sort of thing.

Thank you.

[ then as an afterthought, a little down the page: ] And no, I don't have a beard.

Portraits don't quite do people justice, no matter how lifelike they become through magic. But they are fascinating to study, nonetheless.

[ He is 100% sure that he will not grow up a balding old man with long white beard, and he will die on that damn hill. ]

An inquiry for those who use this form of communication: how many of you studied in Hogwarts? I would enjoy reading your experiences, should you wish to share them.

[ but really — tell him everything. ]

Come one, come all!

Should you find yourself tired and weary after a long hard day, or merely looking for a pick-me-up to get you through the rest (or all!) of one, then look no further for a miracle cure!

Sweetea is open in Diagon Alley, from 8am to 5pm every day apart from Thursday (we all need a day off, after all).

For all of your tea, coffee, pastry and stress-relieving delight needs, Sweetea offers all of them. Did you think it couldn't get better than that? Well, just look at this: we currently have an offer running! If you buy one cup of any hot beverage, then you get a pastry half-price! There couldn't be anything better, especially if you have something of a sweet tooth.

Come and stop by if you fancy yourself a drink. We offer cups to take away with you as well! Wow!

See you soon!

xoxo
Dorcas
