Several things, if you please:
1. Reading suggestions for advancements in healing magic in the last several centuries.
2. Really, I'm curious about general developments in formal magic. I don't use a wand, but I find them interesting.
3. Has it ever been recorded that someone else can physically interact with magic? See it, I mean, smell it, hear it, that sort of thing.

Thank you.

As far as I know, it is not something that has been recorded. Have you ever done any experimentation with it as far as how it compares to a wizard that cannot?

The lack of opportunity is unfortunate.

And now, being around so many with magic, will you?

Is that not how magic works?

[Someone took the time to figure out how to use M.I.A.V.I. today, aren't we all glad.]

Oh.

[There's a long, long pause before the rest of the reply comes through.]

American magic might be different. I could not tell you for certain.

[ healing magic? this mediwizard has gotchu, boo.

andromeda lists down the most popular books to date, let's say about twelve?? titles, from memory.

Should you want to research further, I can send you a more comprehensive list later on.

Yes, though the proper term for my particular job is 'mediwizard'. I respond to emergency calls. I'm the first one to make sure the patient lives long enough to at least make it to the hospital and get proper treatment there.

But that's the romanticized part of it. Sometimes, I gets calls about someone getting a nasty cut and panicking. I just make sure to save their asses before they embarrass themselves.

[ ah, now this is interesting. ]

I've been told that wandless magic is a skill acquired only by the most talented witch or wizard.

Then your considerable talents would be something special in a world where wand magic is the norm.

PRIVATE.
Though I suppose it would have been too much to ask of you to attend classes far more than you ever did.

[ His best and brightest pupil — ironically, the one he has the least to do with. ]

PRIVATED FOREVER.

I see someone's already given you a list of texts to start with, and I'm afraid any I might add would not have been written yet, as I'm from some time ahead, but if you'd like, I'd be happy to discuss further advancements that have been made in my own time!

I'd also be happy to discuss your second point, it's a truly fascinating topic! I've never read anything on your third point, unfortunately, but it also sounds very interesting.

Not yet, though I was about to begin working as a mediwizard before I was brought here, and I've always been interested in history! Obsessed, even, some might say! 😊

[Yes he drew a smileyface]

Sorry I can't be any help for that.

I must say, you have many questions regarding the nature of magic. I am a professor, of sorts. A displaced professor for the time being. To answer your questions fully would take some time.

That was my former profession before I arrived here. I taught Transfiguration, but I'm a student of all magic.

I believe we all are gifted with time. Which is rather beneficial given the depth to your questions.

Helo myrddin annwyl! If that truly is the young Merlin, displaced as well.

I would be delighted to learn what you have gathered from your search, as I myself have only just arrived.
