1. Reading suggestions for advancements in healing magic in the last several centuries.
2. Really, I'm curious about general developments in formal magic. I don't use a wand, but I find them interesting.
3. Has it ever been recorded that someone else can physically interact with magic? See it, I mean, smell it, hear it, that sort of thing.

I cannot claim to study magic, but I have been told I am freakish unusual and I am from America so it stands to reason Americans may have different magic.

America is a place, then. I'm afraid I've never heard of it. It makes sense that magic may be cast in different ways in different regions.

That is a very long distance away. That's an entire ocean. How did you get here?

I closed my eyes and when I opened them I was here.

[Then, added like an afterthought:] I come from 1926.

That's odd. I thought it was primarily people from the area that were being displaced, but first I spoke to a Saxon and now you.

[gasleaks]

It is. At least I have yet to meet another American who is in the same situation.

Then again, I rarely go out.

I'd go mad, cooped up somewhere. Especially in this sort of environment.

To answer your earlier question: my magic reacts poorly with [There's a pause, like the person is thinking.] crowds. I developed the habit of avoiding them.

I know the feeling. I avoid people and still manage to be quite free, though.

Freedom is a different kind of prison when you're used to confinement.

No, confinement is always the prison, and freedom may be terrifying, but it's worth the fear in the end.
