[Albus wants to say more but stops himself. He has his suspicions but he can't be certain. The last time he waved his identity around like a flag had him targeted by the Ministry. He'd rather not make the same mistake twice.
Still... a picture of Voldemort can narrow the author down to a group of people Albus knows. Plus that name... how many times has he heard about his Dad, the youngest Seeker ever on the Gryffindor Quidditch team? Especially when that story was used to compare his own completely terrible skills with the broom. But he can't be sure and Albus isn't about to out himself just yet asking.]

[ Well, don't look at this mysterious Anonymous Figure. He's absolutely not going to be outing anyone. ]
Would you believe that it could be real?

Private Message, un: seeker
You should be careful. No one here seems to know about Voldemort, but there is a real chance the Death Eaters are around.
[Albus is fairly certain no one will draw meaning from the picture unless they are one of the displaced from at least the 1990s. Still, cryptic messages have a way of catching the Ministry's eye. He should know.]
private;
I know the Death Eaters exist. Some of them are in this very post.
[ To that, Harry can only say COME AT HIM BRUH
But really, his patience has and is wearing quite thin. This was an act of impatience and some good old-fashioned recklessness. ]
Re: private;
[Trust him, Albus is the last person to practice restraint but seeing as he caught the eye of the Ministry his first day there, he's learned to keep his head down.]
no subject
Well.
I'll take that as a credit to my artistic abilities, then.
no subject
[Too much!
Albus is sure it's his Dad and of course, the old frustration comes out because hey, he's being cautious for once in his life and that should get him more than a brush off.
Not that this Harry realizes this is how Albus interprets their discussion so far. But, Potters wouldn't be Potters without the time honored family tradition of jumping to conclusions.]
no subject
But really. Harry has no idea why this Anonymous person is aND YEAH CONCLUSIONS ARE TOTALLY BEING MADE
WHY ARE YOU BEING SO FAMILIAR WITH HIM
Wait.
Who is this. ]
I've got no idea what you're talking about.
no subject
All the conclusions are so jumped, now.]
Like I haven't heard that one before. Honestly, Dad, I would think that at this point you'd stop being so damned bloody stubborn that when I suggest you quit waving old No-Nose around in front of the Ministry that's infested with Death Eaters, you'd listen to me. But no, of course not, you can't even listen to your own son, especially when that person is me.
[There's a brief pause.]
... unless, of course, you really don't know what I'm talking about because you're not Harry Potter in which case, just ignore I said anything. In fact, let's just pretend this entire conversation didn't just happen.
They really should have included some sort of scratch out delete system with these quills...

It takes a while before Harry can even respond, for one thing he has to read and reread the message a couple hundred times before thoughts or words could possibly enter his mind. And for another, this writer just called him Dad. He'd called himself his son.
If Ron hadn't forewarned him about the fact that he had a son at all, his reaction might have been about ten times more panicked. ]
Did you just call me Dad?
Did you just call yourself Harry Potter's son?
Are you Albus?
no subject
Scorpius was going to murder him.]
Albus? Ha, that's a funny name. Isn't that Dumbledore's name? Yeah, um, I think I made a mistake from before. Like I said, don't think too much into what I wrote. I... Was responding to the wrong conversation. You know how that happens sometimes...
[Yup. That was totally convincing. Good job.]
no subject
If this is Albus, if it really is like Ron told him, then he's having a conversation with his future son. ]
Hard not to think too much into accusations like that.
You seem to harbour a lot of ... frustration towards your father.
[ Okay, seriously, why would he want to know that?
Looks like they're both Real Bad at this. ]
no subject
I'm speaking generally, of course. Sometimes they just don't get you. They can't accept that you're nothing alike.
It's fine, though. Because he's not here.
[Or maybe they're too much alike. But good save, Albus. I'm sure Harry won't pick up on the fact that you know he can't relate. Not unless this Harry is in his late 40s.]

WELP.
#stares into space like ANONYMOUS is on The Office ]
And you're sure you're not talking about this from personal experience?
It sounds personal.
no subject
Just... Look, something happened a long time ago and you kind of sounded like...someone I know. From home. And the situation we're in it just brought some things back.
Sorry.
[He feels guilty, especially if it is his Dad. Things had been better between them but finding himself thrown back in time rattled Albus. Some feelings are hard to shake and his relationship with his father has been to some fairly messy places.]
no subject
Probably best not to go off on complete strangers next time though yeah?
But no hard feelings, honest.
no subject
I'll keep that in mind.
If you ever want to...talk, maybe. About your drawing, I mean. My mate and I could be useful.

I may take you up on your offer one day.
