m.i.a.v.i. un: g.g.

I have a number of inquiries if anyone would be willing to humor me. Some are for any Ministry officials reading, others are for anyone.

Will accommodations be made for those of us that cannot legally Apparate yet? What I am asking is this: if one is too young to Apparate and lives in the village set aside for "time deviants," will the community be connected well enough to the floo network that they will be able to get to work in London or will they be restricted to finding work in Hogsmeade for proximity? I am not sure just how close an eye the Ministry intends to keep on us.

What if we already have the Trace on us from another country?

Now for some general questions.

Who is hiring, may I ask? My skill set is wide-spread and I am not very squeamish.

Fellow "time deviants" : how many of you have settled into this provided (as it were) housing? How many of you still need accompaniment or assistance in paying?

When are you from? Where are you from? How do you feel about this place? Tell me these things.

Thank you very much for your time.

Your name looks Saxon. Is that where you're from?

Are things very different for folk with our abilities in your home and in your time?

Yes, we know. And they have Ministry sanction to hunt down anyone they're aware of who hasn't registered. [Scorpius doesn't like either option, but this one seems the most manageable.]

They have the Trace on so many people, so long as you don't give them a reason to look into you, they won't bother to. As far as they're concerned, they've won. They have no reason to worry. Better to let them keep thinking that.

Well, if we fix the first thing that made it go wrong, then the rest of it'll just fall back into place and none of this will have happened.

[Because, yknow, time travel. That's how it worked last time!]

But I don't know if I'd want my dad showing up here either... or Rose. [Or anyone, really. Because this is dreadful.]

I've found a job at a shop in Diagon Alley. I don't think my boss is hiring any more hands but I could ask her if she knows anyone else who might be.

I haven't sorted where I'm to live yet. I don't know whether to move into that village near Hogsmeade or try to stay with someone else.

I'm from the future, almost 20 years.

It's frustrating, knowing how little my work will count in the end. I suppose it's something that there are safe havens, though.

Well, somewhat safe.
[ he doesn't think much of this ministry nonsense. ]

What work are you hoping to do here? You said that you're not squeamish.

That's what I'm thinking. It's about the right time that my friends' parents should be around.

In some ways, it is...
[ But not because of the 20 years. ] I suppose how different it is depends on perspective.

I'd rather not, all things considered.

What sort of fiddly magic are you accustomed to? Don't talk around it; I'm not squeamish, either.

I think what generally makes magic 'dark' is how the user wields it.

What use do you find for necromancy?

How do you acquire your bodies?

I think there's only so much that can be done with the dead, though, truthfully.

Unfortunate but necessary how? Murder, theft?

I suppose it depends on the strength of one's desire for answers, and a certain willingness to trust-- or the power to stop anything they've no desire to engage in.

Good. Theft is unfortunate, but acceptable.

It could be invaluable. It wouldn't have been feasible in my time, but medical magic has come a very long way since then.

Well, that is the key, isn't it? Proving to others, for one thing, how valuable the research could be.
