It had been years since Albus had to stand up to his family to defend Scorpius. He thought they were past all that, but of course, this Ron wouldn't know that. This version was still trapped in the past when Albus' and Scorpius' fathers were on opposite sides of a war. Still, that didn't make the slight sting any less.
